CSR ranking by Ecovadis From silver to gold

It’s official: SUGGLE can wear the golden EcoVadis medal. A tangible confirmation that it pays to keep at it. From the very beginning, we have endeavored to follow a green path with SUGGLE – not greenwashing, but genuine sustainability. This is exactly what EcoVadis tests and gives us the assurance with the gold medal: We can continue in the same way! In the overall CSR rating on environmental, labor and human rights issues, we are now in the top 2 percent of companies in our industry assessed by EcoVadis! Across all industries and countries, this puts us in the top 10 percent of companies assessed by EcoVadis – after all, 75,000 companies. It’s a great feeling to see in black and white that your efforts are bearing fruit. With lots of ideas and useful products, we are now motivated for the next (audit-) year!

What is Ecovadis?

EcoVadis provides companies with holistic CSR ratings (Corporate Social Responsibility, CSR). The rating covers a wide range of management systems, with a special focus on the impact of the environment, labour and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement. Companies are evaluated with regard to topics relevant to their size, location and industry. These evidence-based assessments are translated into scorecards with scores from zero to one hundred (0-100) and medals (bronze, silver and gold). In addition, the scorecards identify strengths and areas for improvement to better target sustainability efforts and create corrective action plans to improve CSR performance.

Why is this so important to us?

We have invested a lot of time in the topic to review our sustainability promises and statements. It is not enough for us to simply claim that we take responsibility. We want it all the way! The very extensive survey, whose answers may only be documented, has given us an objective view within the EvoVadis framework. We will now continue to work on this. Because we are very close to the platinum medal that we are striving for!
